We’re one of The Times Top 200 UK Law Firms for 2022

We’re delighted to be recognised as one of The Times top 200 UK law firms for 2022,  after 4,500 respondents across the legal profession were surveyed by the international market research firm Statista.

Noting that ‘the COVID-19 pandemic was sweeping the world when the human rights firm Rook Irwin Sweeney opened for business on Fleet Street in April 2020′ , the report recognises that ‘in its first few months the firm acted in several cases to protect the rights of disabled people during the pandemic, including a judicial review against the education secretary that challenged the “downgrading” of the governments duties towards disabled children. It continues to work extensively in the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal.

The report also recognises the firm’s work with the campaigning organisation Good Law Project ‘in six landmark judicial reviews against the government. They relate to transparency in decision-making during the pandemic and will set precedents for future government actions. The firm is also involved in an appeal linked to the most significant transgender rights case of recent years. 

We’re also proud to see our unique social justice fund recognised, under which ‘the firm has acted for more than 20 clients …this offers free legal advice in the areas of education, health and social care.’
