Litigation Assistant role
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Litigation Assistant.
Rook Irwin Sweeney LLP is a specialist public law and human rights firm in England and Wales. The Partners are experienced public law & human rights lawyers who have acted in many leading public law cases over the last decade. The firm has a particular focus on the rights and interests of disabled children and adults and their families, and the three Partners have successfully taken cases to secure their rights to the High Court, Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
All three Partners are highly ranked in the legal directories and are recognised as leaders in their fields. Two of the firm’s Partners are based in London and a Partner and solicitor are based in Bristol.
Following our launch in April 2020, we are now looking for a Litigation Assistant to provide administrative support and carry out some basic fee earning work to support our lawyers. Day to day tasks include electronic file opening, maintaining records, preparation of letters and documents, e-filing, liaison with experts, court and counsel. The successful candidate would be expected to work from home and would have regular interaction with the team via online platforms.
Who we are looking for:
This role will suit a motivated and enthusiastic individual with at least 2 years’ experience in administration, ideally in a legal setting, and who is committed to gaining knowledge and experience as a Litigation Assistant. Although this role will include some basic fee earning tasks, the role is primarily administrative and would not be suited to someone who is seeking to progress a career as a solicitor.
